Jessica grew up in Arizona and California. She attended the University of California- Riverside where she was an Economics major, before moving to Albuquerque. There, she pursued a baking certification while working as a salon manager and later a cake artist. Then she moved to San Diego where she worked at a video game store (she still loves MMORPGs) and a big box retailer. While in San Diego she discovered her love of children and began her career as an early educator.

She met the love of her life in San Diego where he was stationed at 32nd Street Naval Base. They married and moved to Austin, TX where she continued her childcare career before moving to her husband’s home-state of Louisiana. They have two children, two dogs, one cat and just moved into their custom forever home.

She has always been an avid reader, but hadn’t taken the time to read much with her busy family life. However, her mother recommended the Outlander series to her, and then she was gifted ACOTAR for Christmas by her husband. The rest is history. She has read (or listened) to over 100 books in the last year and half, has a never-ending TBR list, and has already started working on the sequel to her first novel.
